The waiting game starts now. You can expect a response from all three credit bureaus (if you disputed with all 3 bureaus) within 30 days, generally three weeks or less.
Avoid applying for any new credit. Credit inquiries can be damaging and sag a credit score. It would be wasteful to make incremental gains and increase your credit score through the dispute process, only to lower the score with excessive inquiries. The reason we warn against applying for any credit early on, is for this reason.
The dispute process continues. One you have received your updated credit reports from all three bureaus after the first round, examine each report to determine what remains. Then repeat the same process, ensuring that you ONLY dispute items that are negative marks, that remain on your credit report.
