When To Apply For Credit And Where To Apply
A reminder
Once the process starts, the thought of what your new financial situation will soon look like can be exciting, but also overwhelming. As your score starts to increase, the offers will roll in. Do not apply for new credit until you have completed disputing negative items on your credit report.
The time will come, but as the offers come in, you must resist until given permission to launch. As part of our training for financial discipline, resist all urges to apply for credit. IT IS IMPERATIVE TO NOT APPLY FOR CREDIT.
Be mindful of what is referred to as a “soft credit pull.” While this is possibly true, once approved a hard credit pull may be required to complete whatever you are applying for. In most cases, the dispute process is complete within 4 months.
